Dr. Amy Twardzik
After graduating from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003, Dr. Twardzik spent ten years working as a veterinarian in the Pacific Northwest before moving back east to her home state of Maryland. She also completed veterinary acupuncture training in Colorado before finding her home in the beautiful city of Richmond, where she joined the team at Broad Street in 2025.
She is Fear Free certified, with strong interests in internal medicine, feline medicine, dermatology, acupuncture, and pain management. Dr. Twardzik loves her patients and enjoys working with owners to provide compassionate, thorough, and individualized care while minimizing patient anxiety.
In her downtime, she enjoys spending time outdoors - gardening with native plants, working on permaculture projects, hiking, camping, traveling, and kayaking. When indoors, she enjoys working on a variety of design and DIY projects, cooking, reading, and cuddling with her beloved cats, BelBel and Wubby.
