Dr. James Cloman

DVM, Medical Director

With almost 30 years of veterinary experience, Dr. Cloman brings extensive clinical knowledge and hands-on expertise to Broad Street Veterinary Hospital.

After graduating from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997, he began his career at Broad Street in 2000 and went on to practice at several veterinary hospitals throughout the area. He later spent several years as an emergency clinician at Virginia Veterinary Centers in Carytown, gaining valuable experience treating urgent, complex, and critical cases. Now back at Broad Street for the past seven years, Dr. Cloman combines his broad clinical experience with a commitment to providing compassionate, personalized care for pets and their families. His professional interests include preventive medicine, surgery, dentistry, trauma and emergency care. He enjoys helping pets stay healthy while supporting owners through every stage of their pets’ lives.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Cloman enjoys country living, working in the yard, metal detecting, and spending time outdoors clay target shooting, getting out on the golf course, and taking his boat out for a day of fishing. He’s also enjoying the adventures of raising two children in middle and high school who keep him on his toes.
